opponent's stats

Is there any way to view your opponent's statistics before the match?

Locate the member you want to play

click on their username.  When the box appears, click at the top of that box on their username again. This opens their homepage.

Click where it says at the top  'live chess', that shows you their stats.

Sounds a long process, but its not really, it takes seconds to see their stats, depending on your internet connectivity :)

I know where to find my Standard and Blitz stats, but where do I find Bullet stats?

At the moment you haven't played any Bullet games. Your rating will be 1200 until you play your first rated bullet game.

A follow-up question:

What times correspond to Standard, Blitz, and Bullet games?

Standard's =>15/0, Bullet is =<2/1, and Blitz is in between (3/0 to 14/0, roughly -- not sure how the 'bonus time/increments' are figured for the categories).

The Live Chess 'seek graph' has coloured sections for each.  In a pinch you could post an impossible seek such as a rating >5000 and <5001 (so you don't aggravate any responders) and cancel it, to see where a particular mix fits in.
