It seems many are experiencing the same thing. I for one question the practice of having so few customer support workers when you have almost 26 000 000 users. I didn't know it was that many, but that's not a small business. Nevertheless, more than two days to get an online product you paid more than $100 for, isn't okay. I've asked Google play for a refund, and got it almost instantly. Wouldn't be stuck trying to contact a customer support that might take several days to reply...

Same problem. Paid for Platinum and everything was fine for a while. Then about the time the latest app change came out with the Puzzle Rush feature, all my game history and friends disappeared and my ratings were back to newbie. I got the “must be a rejected payment” explanation from Chess.com, but I have had annual Platinum since last April and the problem came up in the last couple of weeks. Now I have five more months of Platinum paid for through the App Store and nothing to show for it. Have you looked at Lichess? Open-source, FREE, and better features. I’ll see what Chess.com does next, but I’m thinking I’ll give up on it soon and just play on Lichess.

UPDATE: I had to dig up my iTunes email receipt and my bank statement from last April to get my Platinum membership restored. I still lost several months of games and rating points. It's not a big deal - I'm not a GM. I'll continue to play on Chess.com, but I'm liking Lichess very much.

The problem may be between chess.com and the App Store. My payment went through but nothing happened at chess.com. They continued to ask me to go for the "free trial" which means the payment got held ups somewhere.

 

I understand that your issue may not be the same, but the common denominator may be the App Store. Using a credit card may solve the problem, but I already paid for an iTunes card for that very purpose. 

Chess.com continues to ignore me.

It’s just a shame this is happening people work hard for their money. When you pay a premium price, prompt customer service shouldn’t be a luxury it should be a right. I hope you guys get it worked out like I did.

I canceled my charge through iTunes and got my money back. Chess.com did nothing. Too bad we cannot call them (chess.com) or at least chat with someone about our issues.

We're on it!  When I checked from your account I was able to access unlimited lessons.  Can you reach out to us at support@chess.com for further support?  Your account is correctly provisioned!

Can chess.com accept my payment through iTunes? When I make the payment, iTunes take my money, but chess.com does not recognize the transaction.

Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. Let me know when I can make the payment again.
