Random glitch most likely. Try using a different browser if it or other problems arise more than rarely. You can also try rebooting your PC which may or may not help with internet problems, but first "reboot" your browser by closing all windows & then re-opening it.

I was doing the daily puzzle. I'm new to chess and this site.
It is a spoiler, but it could mean that you chose a wrong piece for promotion, and therefore you can not progress. Just like you choose wrong move in the puzzle, it keeps returning you to the previous position.

Ah!, in a puzzle it won't allow you to make the incorrect move. In today's puzzle, promoting to a queen is wrong.
I couldn't promote my pawn to a queen. Why would this happen?
