play vs computer

just joined several hours ago.

am unable to start play vs computer.

glad i did not pay to join

any help??

Do have Java? That's required to play against the computer and on live chess.

First of all are you playing from a pc, laptop, tablet or phone?

Secondly are you reffering to correspondance chess(1 day, 3day, 2 weeks per move)

or Live Chess (Live game, 1 min, 3min, 10min etc)

Agree - several times with me it has just frozen half way through a game.
Once I ended up with a knight sitting on the board that I shouldn't have had and couldn't use !

However, the first time I tried using it, I was prompted to download Java - so that shouldn't be a problem.
