Please can videos have subtitles?

Hi there :) I'm sorry if this is the wrong section. I'm Autistic and my speech processing isn't very good. It's often hard for me (on the Android app) to follow the videos explaining the daily puzzles or video lessons, especially so because I can't lip read. Please can subtitles be added, to new videos if not all videos? Even auto generated subs are better than nothing. Honestly I am surprised that subtitles aren't already a feature, for a huge website with millions of active members I would have assumed that basic accessibility features would already be implemented. I just got diamond membership for unlimited lessons etc, but honestly I'm wondering if it's worth it if I can't access a lot of the content.

Seconding this! It would also be really useful for people who don't have accessibility issues, but who may not wish/be able to have the sound up on their device when watching.

Bumping this!! I actually thought the videos were broken at first when I hit play, I was expecting subtitles and my sound was off, so for the first minute or so it seemed like the video was frozen. I often use the app while on hold or in an environment where I need to have my headphones out.

Bump bump bump, waiting all these years for this!!
I am a paying customer and love watching the explainer videos, but as I usually don't have my headphones on me (or don't want to dig them out for a 1 minute video) the lack of subtitles make them useless for me. These are the biggest added value for me, so I won't be renewing subscription sadly.

Hi there! I understand completely. It sounds frustrating to have access to the content but have difficulty processing it due to the lack of subtitles. You're absolutely right that accessibility features like subtitles are important for many users. targetpayandbenefits com
