Problem while dragging pieces

I've got a problem for several days now that when I drag a piece like Bishop or Pawn, sometimes it releases without me releasing the mouse. For example I want to make long Bishop move or two square pawn move forward, but it makes only one even though I didn't release the mouse button.

Not only that, after I release in the destination I wanted it registers as a 2nd future move which should be played after my opponent plays.

I use google Chrome, and hardware acceleration disabled.

I tested my mouse elsewhere and I can drag things without problems, so it's chess.com problem I think.

So are there any fixes?

I don't think it's connection problem.

im having a similar problem. But i can't release the piece. So I just can't play chess right now. When i click and drag the piece it instantly moves approx 2 squares below point of origin and i can drag it around but it won't release.

I have the same problem, and the games are aborted and I got slapped with a penalty for aborting games. Am still awaiting response to my query about it. About half my games abort before I can make a move.

same here. There was a similar problem some months ago which I got fixed changing the Chrome setting but this time it's happening in any browser.

Other people seem to be fine. I'm playing in a Mac with Chrome

I fixed the problem by uninstalling and installing chrome. Just for those who still have the same problem.

Time for chess.com to fix this problem or tell us how to avoid it. It "looks like" that is a problem with timing - If the piece is left "too long" over a square it just stays there. Bummer!
