Thanks for the update yeah I hadn't been logged into the game so just made me wonder why all the lag ...

I think until they get it all balanced out we will have it for a few days.  I do wonder how many billions of people will be online for this???  It will take time to count all those votes.  I'm sure the FIDE, USCF,  EFC, and the European Chess Union will all be playing as well with every titled player in the world.   Not counting every chess club, chess site, and all those who just like to play a game now and then.  Thats a big team to accommodate.  We all will be part of history on this one.....

We had something like 45 thousand people at the peak! And it was not a requirement to be a member in order to participate.  Should be back to normal now.
