Problems pasting a table in Firefox

I have discovered that I encounter a problem pasting cells from an excel table into the forum post editor when I use Firefox but not when I use IE7.  I would much prefer using Firefox.  Any ideas?

Here is what I need to do.  I need to regularly update the standings of a ladder tournament that I am running (see the GrayMatter Ladder Chess group).  I keep the current ladder displayed in a forum post in the group.  When I update the ladder I paste from an excel spreadsheet where the actual data is kept.  With IE7 I simply put the cursor at the end of the table in the forum editor and backspace - and the previous table disappears.  Then I can paste the cells from excel.  No problem.  But if I try that with Firefox then the table in the forum editor does not disappear but instead the cells get all screwed up.

Can anybody help me rectify this apparent difference between Firefox and IE7 so that I can keep using Firefox for updating the forum?

ugh... the ever-present battle of browser differences.... not much we can do that i know of.

try this way, copy to word from excel first, then copy to the post from excel, it should works
