why not get premium member? gold star is good enough, no sounds, and you can join more tournaments etc.
An extra 3 bucks isnt gonna kill you and it is worth it!

One day I will become a member and I have introduced numerous people to the site who have since become members. What this noise is doing is forcing me to become a member now. Everything about the site is fantastic and in the 6 months I have played I have built up a good will to the site, if the noise is a ploy to get me to sign up the good will diminishes
Great site, but the new advertisement where you have to 'punch' a celeb is very distracting. You certainly can't have Chess.com running in the office anymore without the sound off.
