My puzzles rating inflated around 2023 from 1300 to 2k for some reason. I think it was fixed recently but is there any reason why this happened? My rating remained 2k for a while somehow until lately when it got fixed.
It's hard to say what may have happened two years ago. I don't believe there was anything systemic where there was an across the board increase.

As I remember, I think what happened was I was able to do endless puzzles even though I was a non-Premium account. So maybe I was somehow able to climb to 2k? But what I find interesting is, my rating was only fixed 2 years after the whole error

The recent change wasn't a fix of what you saw, but a complete change of the puzzle system.
