Hi dear chess.com Team

   just a short question !

how to do i play blindfold chess on this site ? i haven´t found it in the chess variations between Chess Crazyhouse, 3 check or 960

is there a chance  i turn on the option of blindfold inside a game , i mean when i already started playing ???

There isn't one.

How are you imagining it would work? Voice control? A blank chessboard where you drag invisible pieces around? How would you be informed of opponent's moves? Just show one move from the score for one second?

Martin_Stahl

There is a blindfold chess set option. Change to that.

You should really study the settings before you say there isn't one option.

Thank you.

I knew about the blindfold set option but it seemed like there wouldn't be a way to play a real blindfold game with it. How would you know what your opponent's moves are?

Now that I have tried it against the computer, I realize you can still see the whole game score. However, if you can read the score, it's not really blindfold, is it?

Martin_Stahl

Yeah, it's not true blindfold but currently the closest you can get here.

ok Thanks guys for your answers !

martin ! so if i change to the blindfold chess set, then my opponent isn`t obliged to play also blindfold right ? this means i will be the only one who is playing blindfold ?

   thanks in advance

Yes, you are the only one playing with invisible pieces. Your opponent will see everything.
