Question about rating changes with draws

Greetings!

In Online chess, if I offer a draw at rated, say, 1600, and then my opponent (let's say rated 1200) doesn't respond for a few months, and my rating jumps to 1900 or so, and he then accepts the draw, do I lose the amount of points I would at 1600 (when the draw was offered) or 1900 (currently).

I'm in a situation like that myself (different ratings) and wasn't sure. Sorry for the run-on sentence!

Thanks!

I believe it does change.. you can check yourself how much points you lose if you draw.. and if you remember what it was before compare to what it is now

You mean you believe the rating difference applies to your current rating, no matter what your rating was when you offered the draw?

Ahh so lets say your new with 1200 rating, then you played a 14 day/move game with another 1200, you offer draw he doesnt accept for 13 days then you hit 1900 rating in 13 days, then he might accept the draw on the 14th day.. aah i get it.

I believe it does apply no matter when you offered draw.. i mean it makes perfect sense.

EDIT: If you check the rating changes it will tell you how much rating you will lose if you draw(unless you cannot check due to a draw offer)

I just don't know if my rating is gonna gain another 20-30 points soon, which is making me hesitate on making a draw offer in some of my games. I don't know if my opponents would wait two-three weeks to accept the offer, while in that time my rating would have risen.

On the bright side, you rarely lose/gain any points on a draw.. if your 1900 rated and playing a 1200 you would lose like 8-10 rating points max (UNLESS you have high RD)
