I understand that prices are being frozen for all premium members before the September price increase. My question is, will it be possible to re-subscribe to Gold at the current price of £2.50 a month but choose instead the new set of features? Or will I be stuck with the features that I already have? Personally, I would swap unlimited game reviews for unlimited puzzles and lessons if I had the choice. This would be especially the case if the new plan includes unlimited puzzle rush, which is one of my favourite things about chess.com.
So in short, if I want the new feature set for Gold, am I correct in thinking that I need to let my subscription end because the only way to get the new features is to re-subscribe under the new price increase?
I'm pretty sure you can't get the new feature set with the current price. There are other added features that come with the new plans as well, so I don't imagine that's a possibility.
You will need to get a new subscription when the new plans are active. You might not need to wait until expiration though I don't know that for a fact. There may be a way to purchase the new plan but you should open a ticket to support to find out for sure: https://support.chess.com/article/346-contact-us
