"Connection Failed" on Blackberry

Hi, I am trying to setup the mobile app on Blackberry to login and play.  I installed the mobile app successfully (and even rebooted the device, trying to solve this problem, but it persists).

When I login with my username and password, the application responds with "Connection failed.  Try again".  This happens every time I try to login.  My only option is to cancel and try again.  No matter how many times I try again I get the same message.

I do have a data plan on this device and my internet connection works well.

Thanks

It seems like your mobile doesn't allow the app to get the connection. Have you set up your Blackberry to allow the mobile app to get connection and have you set your APN settings ( see other thread )?

Thanks.  Unfortunately the instructions take me to a low-level TCP setting that I do not have permissions to change.  I am using a corporate phone.

Interesting that this is the first application that I have trouble accessing.  I have used ESPN application, Slacker radio, and all the Google applications, which all use internet access, successfully.

Could the gang at Chess.com please have a look?  I'm using a Blackberry 8310 from AT&T with v4.5.0.110 (Platform 2.7.0.90).

Cheers

I am having the same problem as well. Am afraid to upgrade the OS based on the thread aboves instructions for fear of upseting the connection to my corporate network.
