Rating change - delayed or missing?

Hi all

I played two blitz games yesterday (aprox 12 hours ago I think) and today only one of the games seems to be calculated into my blitz rating. Is this a known problem?

Maybe a delay because your archive shows your rating changed from each game.

Thats what I'm hoping. Not because 19 rating points will mean the world to me, but because it would be a real pitty if I felt I couldn't count on my rating long term.

But I would be very interested to know if I'm alone with this issue?

There is sometimes a short lag in some updates, which I believe are done asynchronously for performance/load reasons, but 12 hours would certainly be abnormal. 

But from what I can tell, the archive shows everything correctly now.

The archive may be correct (although I'm not sure if the rating in the parensethis reflects my rating before or after the game.) What I'm claiming to be inacurate is the number/graph in my "stats". Yesterdays two wins gave a total of +22, corresponding to only one of the games.

Rating in the archive are ratings after the game. Those numbers match your rating graph as well. Prior to that the Daily high was 1349.

Thanks for clearing that up, but my issue remains non the less. You'll agree that the graph shows a change of +22 (excluding todays loss (-21) which is irrelevant to my point)? And that I played two games yesterday, whith a rating change of +22 and +19?

This leaves, as far as I can make out, two possibilities: 1) The second win is not recorded in my stats, or 2) The graph is inacurate and does not show my correct rating before the two games yesterday.

Am I wrong?

The graph shows your highest rating in the day, not a cumulative number of points gained.

I get that, but since i played just two games - and won both - the cumulative number of points (added to my existing rating) would certainly be equal to my highest rating that day. No?

You started the day at 1330 but your previous high from the same day, the 19th of February, was 1349 . You went up to 1371. Since 1371 was your highest of the day, that is what the graph shows.

To be more succinct, the graph shows your highest post game rating of a given day, regardless of the amount of rating gained/lost that day.

If I did start the day on 1330 (which may very well be true - I don't remember looking), then isn't the graph misleading? It would seem to me that every day from 19/02 - 18/03 (where I didn't play any blitz) should be at 1330. Or what am I missing here?

Your highest post game rating before that was 1349, so that is what the graph shows.

But if 1349 was my highest post game rating, then I didn't start yesterday on 1330. Both can't be true.

Both are right. Your rating before March 18th, was 1330 but on February 18th you had reached a rating of 1349 so that is the rating that shows on the graph, which was your highest rating that day.

You have highlighted march 10th, so lets take that as an example. How is my highest rating that day 1349 if, as you rightly say, my rating had been 1330 since february 18th up until yesterday?

The graph only shows the highest rating for the day. If you don't have any games that day, the last highest rating is apparently carried over. My hovering in the graph was just random at that point to highlight the value.

The graph will show your highest post game rating for that day.

Apparently it does not, no matter the amount of added emphasis. It shows, it seems we have determined, the highest rating obtained on the latest active playing day.

I find that to be misleading, but at least I understand now. Thanks for your help.

The highest rating you achieved on

• March 18 was 1371 and that is what the graph shows
• February 19th your highest rating was 1349 and that is what the graph shows, even though your rating went down to 1330 on the next game. That high rating stayed on the graph until your rating changed on March 18th.
• On February 17th your highest rating was 1406 and that is what the graph shows, even though your rating went to 1373 on the next game.

So it is just showing the highest rating achieved on a given day, if you play a game that day. Otherwise, the previous high is carried over. 

I don't really understand this post. I mean, I get what your saying, but that's my point: Did you not think that I understood the system by now?

Based on the statement "apparently it does not" I thought maybe you didn't. If I was mistaken, sorry.
