What I am wondering is how the rating here at chess.com compares to a FIDA since chess.com uses a differant calculating system. If I am at 1400 with chess.com what would I approximately be rated under the FIDA system? I have read that the system chess.com uses is more accurate than FIDA but by how much. What is the variance between the two calculating systems?
See how-do-ratings-work for an explanation of chess.com's method.
A chess.com is not COMPARABLE with a rating from any other pool of players e.g. USCF or FIDE. (See rating-comparisons2).
(On chess.com itself, you can have several widely differing ratings. - see rating-discrepancy).
