Re-set settings

Hi, to Staff of chess .com,

I got a temporary reprieve. I got  an IT engineer to help with chess com. Do not know how long this access to chess.com., will last.

Anyway, I have a problem which I feel is related to my current problem. When I had click my submit button for my move at Online chess, the system stated  that "Your move has been submitted. The game below is your next ready game". When I checked, I found that my move was not initiated, so I had to click once more. Then the system replied "Try making your move again. It appears that your BOARD IS NOT CURRENT". What does it mean??. So I tried to re-set the settings, it had the same problem.  I was wondering whether I had done it correctly. Could someone help me???. THanks a bunch.

If it shows your board is not current, i'll try and explain this as best i can.

If for example you and i are in a game. If i sit with that game board open then for a while then try submitting my move  - but during that time you resign, my board may not have refreshed to show the current state of the board, so i'm trying to make a move on a game that has already ended.

It can mean that while you've been on that game doing something, the browser hasn't refreshed to show the most current view (usually because your opponent has moved, used conditionals, resigned, offered draw etc) while you've been doing something on the game your end.

If none of the above covers whats happening with you, can you please explain what happens with you, including what you're doing on your games just prior to seeing that message

What you have narrated, none of it happened that way. First I logged into chess.com, then went into Online chess. Saw that some games require my response, in that I have  to reply by making a move. None of my opponents resigned or offered a draw.

So I did what anyone would have done. I make my move, then click the submit button. The system responded by acknowledgement,further informed that the game below  was  my next ready game. When I clicked  back, I discovered that the position of the chess pieces were as if that no move was made at my end. So, I had to make the same move again. Then the system stated that I had to try making the same move again ( when in actual fact, I made the same move twice already) and  my move did materialise on the board  and concluded that my board was not current.

The second time I made the same move, the chess board responded and showed the chess piece in that position  which I wanted it to be.

Now my chess board ios blank again. Even I pressed trl and F5 together it still did not work. What to do ??
