Redirecting to www.updooring.com

Does anyone else has the same problem? I can't play at chess.com anymore because everytime I'm in a game a new window pops in my Google Chrome with this fake message telling me that I need to reinstall Java. I clicked on "OK" assuming that it was really from Java, but my Panda Antivirus fortunately didn't let the program to completely install itself. I removed it by restoring my Windows 7 to a previous restauration point and tried to play again, but the same problem happened again.

The fake Java page adress' is www.updooring.com.

I would be very thankfull if I got any suggestions on how to stop being redirected to this page while trying to play at chess.com.

Thanks a lot!

Well, the obvious answer is to purchase a gold subscription to Chess.com. But I imagine that is not the answer you want to hear.

I've heard about these things. I think when something like that pops up, you can just click the close icon or cancel. That, it seems, would return you to your game.

Once when I played over 300 correspondence games at once, chess.com covered up all my boards with huge World of Warcraft ads and I lose every single one on time.

Well, I don't think you understood the matter here. I'm not complaying about the adds, or popping up adds' windows (which never happened to me, by the way). I'm relating a Trojan Horse attack related to the chess.com games. If you'd like to check for yourself, try this page here (I don't recomend clicking on anything in there!):

http://www.updooring.com/BR/?dv1=show2&dv2=&dv3=&dv4=mariRM-BR&sec_id=qWJ8vBQjIEzEzreaqZipDn7pCZO6Y3RmIaRmqldRNAX3NcCuC3i8fAMeNavdhnoQzA8K7kY4PAv%EB&marketing_fid=MTQwMzgzMTY5NS02MWM2YzRlZWE4OGEwN2ZjNjYxZTI0MTUwYmNhMGJkNQ==

That's the page where to I get redirected every time I'm in a game at chess.com.

Sure, I understand.

The link leads to nothing and it appears the domain is not active.

You might have better luck contacting support directly rather than posting it here.

Thanks anyway. I thought I should warn other players AND chess.com staff. I've been playing here for years and I never had any problem before, specially like this one.

I think I did see someone report this same type of thing a couple of months ago. Never heard anything else about it.

Advertisers are quite insedious. It is unfortunate they do crap like this that leaves a bad mark for a great site like Chss.com.

Same thing has been happening to me for the past few days. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a while, but once it does, I can't play anymore for the day. Have you got an answer from the tech support mamamia200?

I can't even get to updooring.com. It says Uh-oh, something went wrong! Error Code: 403, maybe it has to do with your location.

Don't use Java online.  Nothing but problems can result.

Chess.com doesn't have any ads that are going to pop up and cover your board while you're playing.  If you're experiencing this, or if you're redirected to a page after clicking on a button on the site, most likely you have malware on your computer and you need to run a scan:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Download and run this, you'll be very happy with the results once it's removed the malware Smile.

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem, also in Chrome. In firefox this problem does not happen. I'll try the link suggested above.

Have a nice day!

Seems malwarebytes helped. I'll post any news here.

I'm not experiencing the problem with Mozilla Firefox neither. It probably has something to do with malwares, I admit that, but this specific malware is being trigged by something in Chess.com, especially in the in-game interface. This threat seems to be specifically designed with games in Chess.com in mind.

PS: Um abraço aos amigos do Brasil! Parece que, por enquanto, só nós estamos tendo esse problema? Por que será que meu Panda não detectou o malware ANTES dele se disparar durante os jogos?

This is obviously an annoying add of chess.com that pop-ups in your browser. I have experienced them many times of on other websites that are full of adds. The ''You Java is outdated!'' or ''You need to uppdate Flash Player''. These are malicious adds that often come bundle with other adds.

I don't think it's malware since Google Chrome disables potentially malicious extensions that doesn't come from the Chrome Store.
