Remember Login date doesn't work anymore

This started happening to me about 3 weeks ago and has not gone away.
chess.com had a big outage. I'm guessing they did some kind of a deploy. When it came back online it seems like the session timeout had changed from multiple days (maybe 30), to something like 12 hours now.

it happened to me. Im very sure its just a process of a system remembering a certain accounts password and email. They do that with millions of accounts and the system might have a hard time keeping up with that. Just today infact, the system overloaded. The amount of members on this site is insane and theoretically, should increase until the population caps at around 11 billion worldwide.

it could be the browser not being updated, maybe they've changed something to new coding standards and the browser doesn't read that. I'm running Sierra on a 2012 Macbook and the system (Chrome included) isn't being updated anymore, a couple of weeks ago a message announcing I'm becoming obsolete to this world (finally, god bless) started to appear.
Since a while I have to login new every day. I always check the "remember..." box but I have to login new again and again. Does anyone else have this problem?
