You were the one that had insufficient material, you cannot get the win even if your opponent's time ran out.

Hello,
I have had a game recently where I was left with a king and my opponent was left with a king and rook. My opponents timer ran out but it said that the game was drawn because of insufficient material, but I know that checkmate is possible with a rook and a king.
