I found out how to make a pgn from my online games but how would I translate moves I make on the postcard into a pgn?

Standard 1.e4 2.d5 will do the trick? Or is there set up you have to do?
Good Evening,
For my on personal pleasure I am wanting to get into postal correspondence chess and I am wondering if chess.com has a way to save an ongoing game like that so I have a way of tracking our moves.
And yes I play daily on here already, postal chess is just something I want to try doing.
