I wanna do screenshots and screen recording for some bugs and lag issues. Long time ago it was available but now Chess.com has blocked screenshot and recording on mobile. Two things came to my mind; first of all, how do they know if we are recording or not? Shouldn't this be illegal act? How can a app scans through mobile and as soon as recording is on, it blacks out the whole video? Surely it's not only Chess.com but it doesn't make sense. Second of all, why though? Man Why do they ban recording live chess in the first place? Is people gonna cheat with that? How is doing screenshot gonna help someone cheating if they can just place all the piece on the second phone or something.
That feature was removed from the Android app. It's a feature of Android as I understand it, that apps can use to prevent screen capture. It should only impact Live games.
