Search The Forums needs to be fixed

And woefully under-utilised.
We don't even need a search facility to stop duplicate threads. just point new users to checkmateibeatu's activity and instruct them that none of those threads needed to have been created a first time, let alone a second.

When I search for someone's username in the Search Forum box, I get no results.
When I click on Topics I Have Posted In, it shows a list of topics, I click one, but there's no way for me to go to my post. And obviously, searching for my username doesn't work.
Also, make it so the Search Forums lets us search the forums for a specific username, then have a way for us to go directly to a post we made in a topic.
Here's another:
I was in the Off Topic forum & saw the movie The Deer Hunter mentioned. As a test, I typed in Deer Hunter in the search forums box to the right, & it came up with no results. Typing the word "deer" gave a few topics but not the one about movies.
