servers have been dropping in and out all day

Not sure how many potatoes are powering chess.com but could we add some more? Over the past week I have had problems on and off. Currently regretting paying for the membership as I don’t recall the last session where a server problem didn’t pop up at least once..

And?

Progress continues on the plans announced in the Chess.com blog post.

https://www.chess.com/blog/CHESScom/chess-is-booming-and-our-servers-are-struggling

/ As they posted last week, they are very sorry and are doing everything they can to fix things.

They said:

"We are very sorry for the issues; we know it's super frustrating. We are all hands on deck to address these challenges, but sadly there isn't (yet) a simple button we can press to resolve these issues."

They also said, "We love you, we feel you, we are sorry, and we are working as hard as we can to return to stability and provide the best possible experience—today and in the future, when we reach 15 million or even 20 million people playing chess in a day. "

That sounds like an apology to me.

A month after the blog post and chess.com still have issues several times a week is far from a win. There have been 4 games this week I have been unable to complete… and I am paying for that experience… it’s just bad.

I count 9 days from January 23rd until February 1st.

How did you get a month?.

DavidGiant, i'm totally with you. And losing rating points because of this situation makes it infuriating. Not sure about justbetfair though...does he work for this website or what? 🤔

Martin_Stahl

If you have lost games due to the database overload issues, open a ticket with support with game links, and they should be able to refund rating.

Yes, that's what the blue pawn next to his name means. The blue pawn means he's a chess.com moderator.

@exceptionalfork Ah all good then, i thought he was a fanboy or something. @Martin_Stahl Honestly can't be bothered to open a ticket for 9 rating points, I simply play on another app now..
