Excuse me. I was referring to 'live chess'. Can't find how to set my own settings so opponente challenge me on my terms (like 20 minutes long, for instance). Also would like to know how ratings are calculated. Thx.
SETTINGS QUESTION
To set a time limit in Live Chess, you can either choose a seek that already has your desired time, (unlikely) or click the "Start New Game" button, with 'Initial Time' and 'Bonus Time' settings.
Ratings are calculated with the Glicko system, which I would research separately if you are very curious about it. It relies heavily on statistics, and is pretty complicated. (but comprehensible)
Thank you very much; your help is much appreciated.
Hey, another unrelated question: Just played with somebody with my rating and turns out he's a 'professional' chess player, so obviously won, but kept insulting me every bad move I made. How can I block him? Looked for all options, but only 'add it as a friend', and others. Don't want to ever play with that creep again. Thanks.
My 'online settings' only show the option of number of DAYS for each move, when all the games I see are total of 15 minutes (long) or shorter. Where do I set those 'max game time' settings? Don't see that. Thx.
