Happened to me once, the whole damn security system on my computer crashed, I had to do a full system scan after, and there were two files that had been corrupted.

There are no Trojans here, perhaps a few Spartans and some Corinthians, but no Trojans. I once knew an Athenian here, but they don't play here anymore.

Could be.

anything wrong lately?

I had logged in, and exactly whenever I clicked on the next thing (forum, game etc) it would take me to a spam page.

next I went in and just waited, and it tooke me there..

I quick went to other sites and they were all perfect except on here (strange) my virus protector says everything is fine.... ?

I saw a DNS error when I tried to get to chess.com earlier in the day yesterday. There could have been a DNS hijacking of the domain which could explain the spam page as a possible relapse.

If you see anything like that, it could be local. Please copy the entire text and mail it to support so we can check on it..

Thanks

When it happens again, I will... as soon as your site comes back on the computer that I am using. Wink

The ad version of chess.com (free members) is riddled with virus's, popups and the like. It's not his computer, its the ads.

I am pretty sure that the DNS error that I saw could not have been caused by a virus-laced ad.

I love the smell of trojans in the morning....the smell, you know that gasoline smell... Smells like, victory.

I suspect this site glows in the dark.

It does. Play with all the other lights off at night.

This is a result of a whois query (using a web service that we do not host) for chess.com during the DNS error:

Whois query for chess.com...

Query error: Timed out

none of this has anything to do with trojans (*sigh*).

we will look into the DNS issues. thanks!
