The Site is very slow, as usual!
Since 31 of May, 2008, when I joined the Site, I pointed a numerous times to this problems to Owner and Staff! I hear the promises... a numerous times!
I am so disappointed!
I am sick of false promises to really improve!

Many things have gone wrong for me with the site the last few days. And my computer is very good for most things.
1. My 'new comments' alerts kept disappearing.
2. I spent over an hour trying to write a forum post only for it to freeze when I hit the 'post new forum topic button' and lose what I had done, I tried again the next day and the same thing happened, and then I tried again and at last it worked. This has also happened to me before when trying to send messages, it just freezes.
3. Numerous times when I've tried to click on individual threads it won't let me and instead takes me to the 'chess.com forums'.
4. Many other things, and today the site has been virtually unusable for me. The game explorer hasn't worked, which is annoying because I like to use it a lot for my games. Every time I try to navigate to another page it takes around 1-2 minutes at least, which is even worse than when I wasn't a paying member! And I tried to lay down a few conditional moves for one of my games, and the delay time between each one was literally about 2-3 minutes, I could get up, make a sandwedge, come back and it was still loading! So laying down only about 5 conditionals for one of my games took about 15 minutes!
But I'm sure It'll be fine in a few days.
I have a few other sites not loading properly as well.

Yes. The site is very slow.Today, I thought of doing several problems in tactic trainer. It became too slow that stopped doing tactics. It took >30secs for new problems to appear

The lag is probably all the non-chess player chatters in Live Chess and sucking up bandwidth for free!!!
New and improved version of DoS attacks. Personally, as an IT professional of 22 years; an avid chess player; and chess.com user, I'm looking forward to the day when Free-Loading Moochers get what they pay for and stop hogging up resources that actual CHESS users need.

But... I just had another go with the game explorer, and it's still impossible. 
I'm also experiencing problems with the games explorer

Over the past two weeks, chess.com and all of its features have been running very slow. This is strange as i did not get this problem last year.
"Free-Loading Moochers". If you hadnt noticed, the world is in a global economic crisis so to find a chess site as good as this is normally and not have to pay is brilliant. I'm sorry if I dont have enough money to subscribe to the site, but that does not mean that other non-paying members and I have to put up with insults from people who are financially better off and look down on us with their memberships.
"Hogging up resources that actual CHESS users need". What an awful thing to say. Everyone who uses this site is surely an avid chess player or one who wishes to improve. Everyone who uses this is an "actual CHESS user". I think that it is totally outrageuos that you can say this about other chess.com users just because you have a premium membership.
games explorer has been restarted. should be fine now.
I'm still having the same intermittent problem of pages loading extremely slowly, it's not limited to games explorer and it has been going on for some time.
Game explorer was slow, but now erik restarted it.

Razor, I understand my comment seemed harsh and abrasive. I'm glad to hear that YOU are taking advantage of the benefits of this site. I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with not being able to become a paid subscriber. You are obviously in the minority of the non-paying members I was calling out as "free-loading moochers."
My comments were directed at the individuals who use Live Chess as a juvenile playground of ineptitude founded on insecurities and anonymity. I'm certain you have seen these individuals who are online everyday; have ratings of 1000 and below on live chess; have no rating on turn-based chess; and little interest in chess. These are the individuals who are not "actual chess users."
My apologies for offending you. I believe you understand that you are an exemption, as well as a few others, in comparison to the volume of users exploting the sites free "non-chess" resources.

Actually, I said it was slow before, but it is back to normal if not faster now. Except game explorer, which doesn't load after a few moves.
