Sound stopped working

Hi, all of a sudden sound no longer works on app, tried reinstalling a few times but issue persists.  I have an iPhone 12 with iOS 16.5.1.  Pretty sure the issue started with the latest release of the app, v4.2.3

Thanks for the reply, phone is fine, sound works for everything else. Just stopped for chess.com. Also checked all sound settings for the app and all configured ok so sound turned on.

Thanks Rabbit, have reinstalled a couple of times but to no avail.

The iPhone’s ringer switch must be in the ‘on’ position.

Hangs head in shame. Was the do not disturb button (on side of phone) activated for some reason, which I wasn’t aware of. What is weird is that other apps didn’t lose sound but chess.com did. All good now anyway, thanks all for your help.
