Starting tournament on time

Why are tournaments not started on time? Surely there is an auto setting creators can use to initiate at a date. I have joined a tournament advertising 2 sept start, it’s now 6 sept and it still haven’t started. Very frustrating

For Daily tournaments, they can be set to auto-start or to manual start. Some TDs want to validate joined accounts before starting.

Yes, this is very annoying. I play many daily tournaments - last winter and earlier they *used* to start on time. I have not had one start on time in over 6 months. I don't think this is limited to TD's not having auto-start. It would be really nice if somebody from chess.com would provide some explanation
In the case I mentioned, the TD is chess.com. Now 7th Sept, still not started. Tournament is :
