I've had this before too, but only at work. At home it's fine.
Submit Moves Not Working
I have had this problem jsut starting the last couple of days. It was only once or twice it has happened to me though

i have had the issue with the beta version of chrome and when it happenned i just switched to IE to resolve then, since loading the non beta version i have not had that issue although it still messes up tactics trainer after a few problems

I am having the same problem, both at home and at work when I play, it just started happening last week. I am using internet explorer and my window version is XP if that helps.

The problem seems to be getting worse. I resigned most of my games, except a handful of tourneys and friends but for the most part, think I'll move on elsewhere. Thanks.

This happens to me as well, and I'm using Firefox 3. It seems to occur frequently after I've moved a piece, and then Cancelled it.
/shrug, kind of a small issue to me -- it's a bug, but easy to work around. If you're resigning all your games and leaving the site because of that, you might be hanging on a bit too tight...

a little? i agree with you spiffe, small issue, easy to work around and it really doesnt change how i play but i am surprised that others would think that make or breaks the value of the site....dang, i hope he is not using windows on his computer......

Well, when you have dialup to begin with where it already takes forever for a page to load, then you have to wait until the page reloads each time (around 30-50 seconds) and sometimes go as many as 5 or 6 page reloads, repeating the move until it finally takes. That's alot of time.
I also play on another site where with my same dialup, it only takes 5-7 seconds per page. That tends to make a difference.
Plus, it was earlier this month I reported the problem and it was getting better, now suddenly it's getting worse.

Of course, having done lots of programming myself, I understand the webmaster has his work cut out for him. He has to test from all kinds of platforms and write the script to make each little function work on all of them. It can be a daunting task indeed! It's ongoing and sometimes you still can't work out all the bugs for all the platforms. Nevertheless, I still applaud the webmaster here!
erik, Just wanted to point out, while I had no proble with the IE browser, I know that ravenloche uses IE and he's still having the same problems. We both agree the problem initially started about 3 days ago. Is it possible this may be a side effect of change made in a site upgrade then, maybe the introduction of new script or such? Just a posibility.
