Suddently a closed account.

My friend had account on chess.com called TheHammerstein. Few days ago, right after a game, it has been closed for some reason he still doesn't know. Can anybody help him recovering his account or at least explain why it was closed?

No one here can tell. They had a posted list of accounts closed for cheating until fairly recently but that is gone now, so you can't check that. That is the usual reason for an account being closed without warning.

He can write an email to support directly. I don't know if that will help.

Wow, I've had about 1 month of inactivity and you almost get banned Lorè...it seems too much even for you! ahahah you should have offended the wrong guy ;)) btw I'm happy to know that they give u back your account :)

I cannot log in to my account. I know what my username and password is but it wont let me. I tried to click the "forgot my password" button and then use my email but it said my email was not affiliated with an account. I also tried to make a new account using that username and it said the username was already taken. It's been a while since I last logged in and I'm confused. I made this temporary account to seek assistance. Please help.
