Support hasn't contacted me

I have tried to contact chess.com support and I have received zero response. Instead, when I try to resolve an issue with them closing my account they decide to close the new one I create.

I tried to create a ticket, it showed they received it, but they didn't reply. It doesn't matter to me. If they are trying to close my accounts because they only want one, then let's agree on one. If a moderator is simply closing it because of their personal reasons, then does that mean I should be barred from this site?

Shouldn't I at least have an explanation? Anyways, this is the last account I will create to address this directly. After that, VPNs are plentiful and it doesn't matter which account I use.

I only use one account at a time until it gets closed. I think it is best to communicate rules and get along. But banning accounts without explanation helps no one.

So, what does chess.com want?

Not 2q, but @chiefbroccoli, who was muted for abuse and then - instead of waiting for a reply to his ticket - closed his own account and created a new one, @chiefcauliflower and continued to post. That account was also muted as a mute-evading account. He has now closed that one - on his own initiative again, not by Chess.com - and opened this one.

The correct process is to log a ticket via Help -- > Ask a Question and WAIT for the Support team's response: do NOT create new accounts, as they will be closed as soon as they are detected, which is what I have done with this latest account: I have unmuted it so that this thread is visible with the correct process.

As soon as you log a ticket, you should get an automated acknowledgement e-mail in the Inbox of the email address you gave when logging a ticket - if you do not see this email, either you gave the wrong email address or your spam / junk filter has screened it out. Check your spam folder, and if it's not in there, log another ticket.

If you did get an acknowledgement email and you haven't heard back from Support in 7 days, log another ticket - do NOT create a new account and start posting about it in the forums - that is not the correct process and is viewed unfavourably by Chess.com.

If you want to do the VPN thing and try to go here incognito, that is your choice, but that will get you a ban-on-sight, which is what 2q gets every time he turns up here again.

Thanks,

David, moderator
