Was the friend on your friends list? Though I don't think that matters. If you use words on the filter, you'll see a warning. If you try to post the same filtered text, you'll get muted.
Is the prohibited words list available somewhere? Is butt prohibited? Is anus an acceptable alternative?

thats a problem by chess.com, they need to make a list of unacceptable words.
I said the word butt to someone i was playing with in a friendly banterish way and tried to reprase it but when i did i got a message from chess.com saying my account was now restricted for saying so, is there any way you guys can fix this please so that i can actually chat in the game again? ive supported chess.com for about 6 years now and this is the first time ive come across this issue. Im sorry regardless for that.......Hope you can fix this issue that wasnt meant to be any harm, just 2 friends bantering back and fourth, thank you. Ryan Friesen.
