I challenged Rubik12 to a game in which he was white. To my surprise the starting position was 960 messed up, but he made a first move anyway. I sent a message to him to re-start with the standard position but he didn't answer. I also sent a message to Chess.com Support but they didn't answer either. Now, when you use the website on PC there is an option to "Abort Game" that is not available in the Android app menu. So perhaps that's the way to get out of 960.
I figured it out! go to "computer" menu, switch both players to human, as if you want to play with a friend sitting next to you. then the options standard and 960 will appear
