I haven't yet playet it today, yet it tells me I already got my 10 exersizes for the day.  What gives?  Is it a time zone thing?  The last time I used it was last night about 10pm pacific time.

My poor wife draws the line at paying a membership for a chess website.  I already stretch her thin with all my other crazy interests.

Thanks again, though.

 do the math :)

 going out to dinner: $10

going to a movie: $9 ticket + $5 popcorn and drinks

gas money to go there and back: $3

that gets you 3 hours of fun.

chess.com membership is a bit more than that and gives you 3 hours of fun EACH DAY! ;)

Mountain biking, Photography, Video, YoYos, to name a few.  All of which cost a few $$.  The first subcription I get to a website will be to motionbased.com (gps data sharing site, for my montain biking).  I also bug to get a road bike, also very expensive...  Oh, and we have four kids.

Yoyos? Do you yoyo competitively? Surely the out lay of that is real cheap. I saw on u-tube that cup stacking craze, folk battering out pyrimids in, what, 5 seconds? I was surprised at the gear that you can buy for that. Touch sensitive mats hooked up to clocks, and eh, um, cups and stuff.

$30 a year is a paltry sum to pay for a chess site, especially what all you get from this one. And as far as your wife not letting you, that is just one more reason why I'm glad I am not married. I can spend my money how I please.

Not competitvely but good yoyos cost around $90 to $100 each, plus upgrades, strings and accessories...  It just a fun pass time.
