The Daily Puzzles Were Locked?

One quick question:

When did this happen?

I seem to have missed this locked puzzle event.

What happened?

Something this strange happened to the daily puzzle?

I was away for a few days and when I came back, I see threads about locked puzzles. 

Basically, Erik told one of the programmers to fix the bug where other people could post in the "Daily Puzzles" forum. The programmer misunderstood, and instead locked all threads by the daily puzzle. Many chess.com members, who initially didn't know that this was all a huge misunderstanding, thought that the staff was locking the threads intentionally to combat all of the "Yui is love" comments that have been popping up in Daily Puzzle threads as of late.
