Chess.com is offering 10 free tactic problems per day to its basic members. I am a basic member but I am not getting the 10 tactic problems per day. The number of problems I have got so far ranges from 3 to 10 tactic problems per day. If they are trying to push people to buy the program, this is a wrong way. This is a clear misrepresentation and I do not appreciate it. I would have bought the program, if they would not have cheated on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its ten problems every 24 hours, it doesnt reset at the start of every day (ie you cant do ten probs at 11:59pm and get to do another ten one minute later at the start of the day)

You currently get 10 problems every 24 hours. You will soon be limited to 3 per 24 hours, as stated in the blue box on the page. Nobody is misrepresenting or cheating. Chess.com is always straightforward about policies and processes. If you have any questions, please let us know.

I think that there is some bug. Before I bought the membership I had the same problem - less than ten problems per day. I used FireFox. The possible reason - connection|delay issue. When the tactics trainer window freeze then after in the list of recent problems the new (remaining for today) problems appear and are marked as failed. May be I already forgot something but impression is so. Now I  use IE for chess.com at work (some problems with firefox on chess.com). At home I use FireFox for chess.com without any problem (not counting the doubled password entering).

When I was a basic member.. I used to solve 10 tactic problems per day.. That means.. 10 problems every 24 hours..

On a lighter note, one problem can last me ten days.Smile

It's an interesting math puzzle, though.  The system allows "10 problems in 24 hours," but in fact, over a period of a few days or more, nobody can actually get 10 problems per 24-hour period.  To do so, you would need to do all 10 problems instantaneously, at exactly the same time of day.  If you do it any later, or take any time at all to do the problems, then your next 24h-hour period starts at a later point than 24 hours after the end of your previous 24-hour period.  If the various delays (time it takes to solve the problems, inaccuracy about checking in at exactly the right moment) add up to 10 minutes a day, then . . .  oh, this isn't math.com, but chess.com.  Sorry!

This is not a cheat. Two minutes ago I was allowed to play through 5 problems since I played 5 in the last 24 hours. A minute later I was allowed 7. This is because I did all my 10 for the previous day in about this time yesterday :-)
