time-out percentage

I was thinking of upgrading but having second thoughts.

It's not the site or it's service but specifically to time-out.

I am not pro time-out, from my experience, my time-out is due to situations out of my control. First few weeks after I joined this site I had problem with my DSL Internet provider wherein their lines were stolen affecting my whole area. Being a newbie, I don't know about this sites features specially the vacation feature. After the incident, another case of Internet provider problem occurred wherein the tower was damaged causing the whole of my area to basically shut down including Internet cafe's for about a week. Third is I put my games on vacation from an Internet cafe but only to find out timing-out from my games, thus for unknown reason the vacation feature did not work or maybe something was wrong with the computer i used at the cafe. I even posted that I will be on emergency vacation for that issue. 

For these reason my capability of joining tourneys even from invited one's prevented me from doing so because of high time-out ratio. In this case, I'm afraid that being a premium member, i might not be able to join or create tourneys because of such high time-out percentage.

It's just my concern but definitely I would love to upgrade my membership to somehow help the site in a small way but in due time.

My concern is why does a time-out ratio affects if a member can join tourneys when an administrator of tourneys can simply kick-out from the game the player for that event. It is good for abusive member, but how about for those who were not. From experience, I realized that no matter how you planned things, and know future events like holidays, etc., there will always be some situations beyond our control.

My Internet provider game me 1 full month rebate for their service failure.... but the harm was done and was irreversible.

The fact is this kind of service failure is always happening here in the Philippines and due to this known issue, i see future difficulties if it will be a hindrance to being a premium member after all. If I will be having this kind of problem, how can i enjoy the benefits of joining tourneys if i will be temporarily cannot be accepted due to my high time-out percentage ratio. 

In fact, for this reason, i don't claim win on time-outs right away and give ample time, notice to my opponent before claiming such win, but with friends I just let it stay there until they make there move.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does a premium membership not include timout protection?  My understanding was that upgrading would take care of this very issue by automatically putting you into vacation mode instead of letting you time out.

you are right, but my concern is.... here in the philippines internet provider problems were a common issue. if the same condition happens on a constant basis, I would have no vacation to use being used-up on unplanned events. Therefore if I will be having high time-out ratio from an uncontrollable events or situation, for example being a premium member, it would not be possible to join tourneys because of time-out ratio issue.

Thank you for your comment. I don't have issue against this site and just merely weighing things like the possibility IP problems before going-up for long term subscription. If you have high time-out ratio, you cannot join or create tourneys even with friends. For me, the essence of being a premium member is freedom from playing and creating tourneys with my friends involved.

i beg to disagree.... time-out ratio to create a tourney is 5% or less.

Hey bro... I need to play 186 games more to lessen my time-out ratio to 10%... lol.
