I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I've read that a good rule of thumb is to assume an average game lasts 40 moves and then work out what your average move time should be based on that. For example, if you're playing a 25/5 time control then the average game should last about 28 minutes and you should aim for about 42 seconds per move. I think it also depends on the time control though.
