How do I get into a no time limit game?

julian,

If you're speaking of Live Chess, you can't. However, you can play a REALLY long game (by Internet standards, that is). You can set the time controls to 120 60 (that's 120 minutes per player with 60 seconds of bonus time added back to your clock after each move you make). This is roughly equivalent to G/160 (160 minutes per side, no bonus). That's a considerable amount of time.

However, you'd better have a friend interested in playing such time controls otherwise you may have to wait a while to have your challenge accepted randomly. In my experience, most players here aren't interested in such a long game with a stranger.

Best of luck.

Well you can start an "Online Chess" game of 14 days per move..which is pretty close to no time limit I would say.

Thanks DrawMaster

I, and a couple of friends use to play a lot of chess but, we never use a timming system. We were friends getting togeather talking, playing chess, and doing things that young men do. Those were great times.

Time has a way of stealing out youth, and so it did with us. We all went our seperate ways, and then, one morning I woke up and old man.

I found this {chess.com} site, and it brought back a lot of memories. My problem is, I  keep getting beat with my old enemy,,,time. Recently I have been jn some lnteresting games, and when it really gets going-----time out.

I'm sorry I've taken so much of your time but, PLEASE know I appreicate your help.

Have a good day Sir

BTW, julian, there are some folk who like to play long Live Chess games and want to facilitate that practice. See this post and the posts to it:
