It kind of hard not to. I don't use pre-moves because of re-occurring mouse slips ,and therefore, when I try to advance my Pawn up one square it goes up again and my opponent usually takes my Bishop/Knight and I can't stop it because of it. I want it turned off please so I mouse slips aren't as dangerous.

ADK,

enter live chess, and down near the right bottom area, find the word "SETTINGS" and click on that.  scroll down and click on the box on the line for activating premove     and it will 'toggle' off.  (no check mark is the condition you want to leave there.   then, save settings and you are done.   close the window with live chess and re-open it might be also necessary to clear the settings out of your window.

now, go have fun.

and be careful with that loose mouse.Wink

I did that, but when I tried to use pre-move in a game it was still enabled.

Some people take way to long to move, and sometimes its a fork with a king and why would you wait for the king to move before you make your move when you know where he is going to move!  plus its another way to say! ha ha I know what your doing! or what your thinking!

I use Google Chrome. Is that why?

One way to tell: go in with another browser and turn off your pre-moves.  If it works it's probably because of Chrome, but that's OK because as long as that's the only thing that's not working you should be able to use Chrome from that point forward without your pre-move problem.

excellent tip, TheGrobe, I hadn't thought of that step.

thanks for posting.Wink

Argument: My son is learning Chess and is being confused with this feature. It is difficult for me to explain him what is happening. So I would like to disable it for his account.

That's not an option and the site won't disable the ability of other members to use them.

If you mean premoves, that can be disabled in settings for your son's account, but opponents can still make premoves.

I had an opponent who used conditional moves but they were disabled for me! Surely that is not fair?

Conditional moves can't be disabled. They're available when it's your opponent's turn.

Premoves in Live games have to be enabled; they're not enabled by default

It said 'conditional moves have been disabled on your turn'
