Unable to delete msg

Its been already very late..now my delete option is also not available

mine too..now delete option is also gone...

This is really getting annoying now, if chess.com are not able to sort it out very soon then I will be leaving the site.

I have the same problem I cannot delete messages. the delete word dissapeared and now it is an archive. I have 104 msgs that cannot be deleted. can anyone help?

I have the same problem.  It could be nice if chess.com could keep us inform on a daily basis.  I can live with the problem for a certain period of time, however as member, I would feel better if the communication between members and chess.com was improve.

I found the same thing several days ago, too ... The trouble is that instead of the "DELETE"-button which was previously, there appeared (for some unknown and unclear reason) a new button - "ARCHIVE". I really don't know what is it for ... Before that nasty "Archive"-button my inbox was clean and free from unnecessary messages, but NOW ... IT IS FULL OF RUBBISH ... pity ...

It lasts maybe for a week or so already ... Is there really any hope that the site replaces the new "Archive"-button with the old good "Delete"-button ..... ? The only comfort is that I do hope that it is still valid that after one month the messages are automatically deleted  Interesting, will I also have one or two thousand of that trash in one month ... ?

Yes - it would be nice to be able to clean up my inbox...that and the iphone app glitch still hasn't been fixed. 

I prefer to know that the Chess.com developpers are working to implement V3 which will improve this website A LOT. If the requires that requires the temporary desactivation of my chess mailbox than so be it!

                    Your mailbox is NOT deactivated. The archive button is NOW the new delete button.

There's still a bug for me though, it displays that I have a certain amount of unread messages (18 in this case) even if there is absolutely nothing in my mailbox.

                   You do have to open them 1st, then put them in the archive.

The problem seems to be that when messages are archived when unread, they stay as unread messages in the inbox. One has to unarchive them and open them for them to not show up as unread. This isn't a good thing. 

I tried to pay attention to that several days ago - even in case the all the messages are read, sometimes it does show that there are unread messages, even when I do not push the "Archive"-button, and it may take some time till the system at last "understands" that there are no unread messages and shows it correctly ... It's true that it's not the end of the world to worry about, but let's hope that bug will be corrected

Again. Remember these are problems soon to go away if it is a bug. Worst case scenario: This bug is a real feauture that will also be in V3. I hope it isn't.
