How does one ' unarchive'?

kiwi-inactive

I've never archived a message before, but I assume if you click the archive tab it may take you to a list of messages you have previously selected. Should be a box to untick.

I will leave chess.com a couple of days.  If they do not put back the delete option, I will cancel my membership.

I sent them an-mail, the never answer me back.  I have always promote this site.  I want to look after my e-mails the way I wanted.  There is reasons why an archive option exist and there resons why a delete option exist.  Do not try to explain me that one replace the other one.  They are two different options.

When you archive, your messages disappear on the initial message page. It goes to the archived page. It is similar to deleting except it ironically doesn't get rid of your messages anymore. It just takes them off your home message page.

I just archived around 80 of my messages, better than nothing I guess

Hey citron;  they ARE 2 different options, but some people can't see the trees when the're looking at the forest.

Another bug. When I send message, it says 'Server Error' instead of 'Message successfully sent' or something like that. But msg is still sent?!

Songyu123

happened same to me when I tried to accept/decline a friend request or when I made a move in my online game(the move was still made btw)

I'm gonna try and help staff and take a shot in the dark here. Your all complaining about 7 pages, 80 messages, 16 pages. Chess.com wants to know, that your ACTUALLY opening those messages and READING them. Its ridiculous to spend money on staff sending out a ton of info if your not responding. You do this with your post office box don't you. You empty it every day. You throw out the junk mail, and put the bills aside. If you paid a utility bill on line 3 yrs ago, it is ARCHIVED in some database somewhere. Its a new century. How much trouble is it to open your mail??  In the words of Jay Leno, how fat, lazy, stupid, and ugly do your children have to be to check the mail??  Maybe chess.com should blow your nose and wipe your ass for you too. OR you could say thank you to Erik and staff for providing mail at all.  I'm sorry, I need a cigarette.

In regards to post 57 + 58. I think something is going on right now. I mean as of 12:30pm Sat. They could be doing IT work because I tried to move on a game and it didn't go through.  Try back in a couple of hrs.

@chess.com support team,

Do we have any update on the above issue...?

petitbonom

Think there may be more going on behind the scenes than we know with all the messaging hiccups etc.

Note some joker called hhoot whatever is filling the forums with telephone numbers for escorts!! He has not yet been banned!

freelunch

yes, the problem has been going on for some time now.

Note the option to denounce really bad behaviour is also disappeared. Or unfindable.

Don't know ... Maybe they really are trying to get rid of as many people from this site as possible. It might be logical - when fifty thousand people are asking you for response on some matter and when just a thousand or two - there is difference. Chess.com, as it was, was as good as some other chess sites, in some aspects even better - before all these "really indispensable" kinds of innovations with hanging diagrams, messages and other buttons to whom people are used and do not understand why at all that needed to disappear or to be "kindly replaced" with some other buttons. The desire to spend less time on this site and more time on others is natural and is more actual for me with every next day

Houdini_Genius

Я не заперечую, якщо вони займають більше часу, щоб вирішити цю проблему.

petitbonom

And hhoot or whatever has been kicked out too.

DelayedResponse

So the problem still has not been fixed?
