Unable to move pieces

I was playing a 1 minute Live game, and there are some pieces I was unable to move. Using the mouse the arrow dissapeared over these pieces, even thou I should be able to move them!

This happened several times in several games.

What browser are you using? Try the latest version of Chrome or Firefox, and occasionally clear your browser's cookies and temp files.

You 'should' be able to move the pieces?

a) was it your move?

b) maybe those were not 'legal' moves (the site software will not let you move illegally).

sftac

ps.  "arrow"?  Don't you mean, cursor symbol such as 'hand', which appears over a 'live' link -- the 'arrow' is merely the cursor marker.

Yes, I should be able to move and yes it was legal moves. Yes I am talking about the cursor :-)

Interesting.  Let's have an example or two of the games involved, and the move point where you noticed this problem along with which piece(s)/pawn(s) were not moveable.

It happened again. It was a 1 minute bullet game played today between me (Mekis) and pawnpusher33   (1261) . This is the moves we did. After the move at 11. 0-0 was made, I wanted to move the horse from G5 to E6, but was unable to do so. The cursor just dissapeared when I moved it over the horse. The time was running away, and insted I moved nr 12. H4. Later on I just resigned, it is not fun to play like this.

Yes, that's clearly a serious glitch.  It only happens in 1/0 games (never in longer duration games)?  A typical approach offered to resolve mysterious glitches is to 'clear' your browser cache and cookies.  You might also try switching to a different browser (I.E., Firefox and Chrome, I think work here) to see if the glitch persists with a different browser.

Unquestionably encountering this is intolerable and if you do not receive a prompt acknowledgement by Staff here, I urge you to be prepared to submit a support "ticket" on this issue.  Meanwhile, I suppose you might as well play unrated, so you do not lose a ton of rating points.

For Version, check Firefox's "Help" (far right of top of screen's list of tabs), and see / choose "About ...." which will mention the version number.  (mine's 3.6 when I use Firefox, the latest version I think)
