Unsubscribing from a thread

How do I unsubscribe from a thread? I deleted my comment and blocked the author but I'm still getting notices.

Untick the follow box at the bottom right. 

That's a little vague. Can you give me a screen shot cause I'm not seeing it.

I went to notifications and clicked the necessary boxes. Hope that works.

Unfortunately, the author blocked you so you can't click unfollow.

I clicked unfollow everything in my settings. I hope this works. Eventually the thread will go inactive. This is an issue that really needs to be fixed. For simply suggesting a solution that the author didn't like I get blocked and have to put up with getting email notices whenever someone comments. I should have the right to unfollow.
