I upgraded my account to Gold for a month and after doing so I see that they automatically renew you for another month every month. I just want to try this for one month- how do I stop the automatic renewal?

You can stop the automatic renewal yourself if you paid via PayPal. The instructions are located at this Help/FAQ page: http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/119/0/how-do-i-cancel-my-premium-membership-if-i-subscribed-with-paypal

It appears you can also do it via this link: http://www.chess.com/home/cancellation.html?type=membership , though if you paid with PayPal the above is probably the best method.
