Using rating ranges for daily chess challenges

I keep on trying to challenge people with ratings +/- 100 rated from me for a 1 day match, but I keep getting matched to challenges well outside this range.

I go to 'Custom Challenge', click on 'Options', then set the 'opponent rating' range to -100 and +100, then click on 'Play'. Seems that should work, but it doesn't. Am I doing something wrong? 

This is only when I challenge via my browser. Seems to be fine from the app. If it helps diagnose any potential bug, I'm using Google Chrome on a Mac.

I have the exact same issue, also using chrome and a mac. Any resolution from contacting support?

How are you creating the daily challenge?

From the daily chess page (“play -> daily chess”) or with the play-menu pop-up side panel?

I believe it was the side panel, i just tried with both though, and they seem to bring up the same menu.
