I NEED TO LEARN THE CARO

Openings isn't about tactics, but understanding the ideas behind the moves. The objective behind 1.e4 c6 is to play 2...d5 without blocking Bc8 (like in the French defence 1...e6) or having to take on d5 with the Queen (like in the Scandinavian defence 1...d5). But nothing in chess are free: 1...c6 isn't a developing move, so Black can lack behind in development.
After 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 White has different moves that you will have to prepare yourself for. The most important are 3.e5, 3.Nc3 and 3.exd5.
Now it is your turn! Start practice and learn!
