videos locked but i have platinum membership

Using the ios app, in the Videos section, all the videos are locked even though I have a platinum membership. I click the lock and it prompts me to upgrade, which of course goes nowhere because I’m already a member.
Ah, ok, thanks. That isn’t explained anywhere in the mobile experience.

It isn’t explained at all in the membership packages I see or anywhere in the user interface or iconography. Very frustrating, because I keep clicking on videos only to find out they aren’t available. More dark patterns I guess. Boo.

Things changed September 1st of 2022. Plans purchased before that, only Diamond had access to all videos, and all plans had the old features and pricing.
New premium plans, after that date, have access to the full library.

Ok I think I understand: in Feb 2023 I renewed my Platinum membership. Two years earlier I used to have a Platinum membership. As a result of switching, I lost access to chess videos.
So, to regain access to videos, looks like I need to cancel my current membership and sign up again as a new member (at a higher price).

Prior to the new plans, only Diamond had access to the video library, with the exception of some of the videos that were free. So, if you had diamond for a while, you would have had video access. Once downgrading to Plantinum, you would have lost that.
