fair play policy

Hi all!
I was playing with another user and my internet was always disconnecting, I guess I was banned because there were multiple games where I forgot to resign because the internet disconnected and I never went back to that game. There should be some way in the future to tolerate this kind of "wasting others time to win" because the internet can stop...

Funny, but in checking your profile I see a saved note from a player complaining to you about your abandoning a game with 10 seconds left on your clock. You say you "forgot to resign." Now you blame your internet server. I think you abandon games in lost positions and got caught. Own it and correct it.

If subscribing to a better ISP is simply not an option for you at present, then I'm sorry, but I think the 4,000,000,000 members here (well, the few who show up regularly) who do have decent connections ought not have to put up with someone whose connection does not work adequately for Live Chess here.

...

In that sense it's not dissimilar to someone complaining that they can't ride their bicycle on the freeway.

Easy way for the site to test the theory, which surely they've done prior to issuing the sanction.

If the player "magically" disconnects only when they are losing, never when they are winning, then it's not their connection.

Reminds me of the NYC cabbies who "accidentally" pressed the incorrect button which charged their fares at a different (higher) rate. If it was truly accidental, then there should have been just as many of those higher rates charged at the lower rate.

one of them complained on you so you can't say a thing. In your other games your internet connecton is perfectly fine. Now go read my note and don't expect others to take pity on you

im finding it hard to work this out.

He had an allocated time of ten minutes, and it ran out,.. so what?!! the opponent also agreed to a ten minute time limit, and he won,... whats to complain about??

I really don't see myself complaining about losing 10 more seconds of my life when I already won.
